Patrick Stowe Jones

Architect and interaction designer working at the intersection of design thinking, architecture & experience design, and business strategy focused on place-based innovation throughout the physical and digital human environment.

I am a design and strategy leader focused on the future of the built and digital human environment by helping enterprises design for transformation and scale sustainability platforms across the built and digital human environment. Currently Director of Experience Design at Walmart, I lead cross-functional teams to deliver omnichannel services for all Americans regardless of bank account or credit score. Prior to that, as Director of Experience Design at IA Collaborative, I built and led a hybrid design and strategy practice at the intersection of architecture and digital product.

My multidisciplinary work spans a wide range of topics covering water strategy, package delivery, civic tech, elementary education, cattle husbandry, global travel, and rural resiliency. Educated at Michigan and Harvard, I've practiced in the offices of Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects, Oualalou+Choi, Eskew+Dumez+Ripple, and the Office of Jonathan Tate, and served on the architecture faculty at Michigan and Louisiana State University. I'm co-founder of the Blue House, a shared working community in New Orleans, and Plot, a participatory urbanism app in development.

I integrate with teams to collaborate on digital, architectural, product, and service design projects with the world’s leading organizations:
